  • Do guests have to pay a cleaning fee?

Whidbey Getaways does not charge our customers an additional fee for cleaning. We ask that you leave the house in the same condition that you found it so that excessive cleaning is not required. (Back to top of page)

  • What types of payments do you accept?

We currently accept personal checks, money orders, Visa & Master Card. In order to minimize service fees, we would prefer that you pay in a personal check or money order. We realize that it may be necessary for you to use a credit card at times.

  • Is there a minimum stay?

In the winter season the minimum stay for our homes is 2-3 nights, depending on the home. In the summer we have a 5-7 night minimum stay depending on the home. If we are within 21 days of your requested dates and a home is available, we will consider renting for a shorter time period in the summer. (Back to top of page)

  • What time can we check in to our rental home?

Check in time is between 2:00pm and 4:00pm depending on the home. The larger homes require a longer cleaning period. In order to allow time for cleaning between guests we must strictly adhere to these times. In the home you are renting is not occupied the night prior to your arrival, we will do our best to accommodate an earlier check-in time.

  • Where do we pick up the key to the home?

Prior to your arrival, arrangements will be made for a convenient way for your to receive the key.

  • Is there a telephone at the house we will be renting?

Not all of our homes have a telephone. Please be sure to check the specific details on the home you are renting of this is a requirement for you. (Back to top of page)

  • What happens if we have a maintenance issue while we are on our vacation?

You will be provided with an emergency contact number that is available to you during your stay on the island.

  • What is required at check-out?

Each home will have a check-out to do list posted for guests. In order to minimize the time to clean each house (so that we can allow the guests maximum use), we ask that you leave the house tidy and in order. The check-out procedures include washing dishes, taking out trash & recyclables, turning off all lights and turning down heat as instructed at each home. You are not required to wash any linens. Any items damaged or not working should be reported to Whidbey Getaways immediately.

  • Do you allow pets in the homes?

This varies by home. Currently, we have one home that welcomes pets - Sunlight Beach.  Back to top of page)

  • Are we allowed to smoke in the homes?

All Whidbey Getaways homes are non-smoking. Unless otherwise stated in the home description, you make smoke on the deck and/or patio.

  • What if we have to cancel our reservation?

Once you have paid for your reservation there are cancellation penalties should you have to cancel your reservation. (please refer to our reservation page for specific details)

  • Are the homes equipped for cooking meals?

     

    All of our homes are very well equipped. We have provided a variety of pots, pans, serving dishes, appliances, etc so that you are able to prepare meals at the home. If you find that you could have used something more, please be sure to let us know so that we can do our best to accommodate you next time.
